Mission

The Cipher is a nonfiction magazine that emphasizes journalistic writing and endeavors to engage the reader in meaningful discourse. The magazine comes out of Colorado College, but it does not cover Colorado College exclusively. It investigates matters affecting the college, Colorado Springs, this nation, and the world, and strives to be a venue for creative, critical perspectives. The Cipher embraces plurality within its pages.

The last issue for the 08-09 school year will be the FIRSTS issue. The editors encourage submissions unrelated to the theme. Open meetings are held upstiars in the Worner Center on the first Wednesday of each block at 7 p.m.
